Timothy D. Jackman serves as Senior Vice President of Operational Services for Missouri Employers Mutual. In this role, he has direct accountability for Customer Service, Safety and Risk Services, Claims and CompLegal, and will also help set corporate strategy.
Jackman joined MEM in March 1995 as General Claims Manager and became a member of the Executive Team as Vice President of Claims in August 1997. Under his leadership, the Claims Department was recognized as ‘Best in Class’ claim operations for several years as rated by outside independent claims consultants. During Jackman’s tenure, MEM established branch offices in Kansas City, Springfield and St. Louis to better serve policyholders. Policyholders and injured employees alike consistently give high satisfaction ratings to their MEM claims experience.
Jackman helped MEM earn its spot as the industry leader in the fight against fraud. MEM continues to earn more successful fraud prosecutions and referrals than any other carrier in the state. In his time at MEM, Jackman led the formation of a captive law firm to represent MEM policyholders, along with a reorganization of a managed care program aimed at facilitating a safe and successful return to work for injured employees. Medical savings have far exceeded industry standards year-after-year. Under his leadership, the company culture has increased its safety commitment to helping employers save lives and money.
Before coming to MEM, Jackman worked for 14 years with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, serving in its multiline claims division as Claims Manager, Claims Service Coordinator, Claims Supervisor, Senior Claims Adjuster and Claims Adjuster.
Jackman holds a bachelor’s in business administration from Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo. He has also continued his education through insurance and management seminars and working with an executive coach.
Jackman is currently a member of the American Association of State Compensation Insurance Funds, the Board of Trustees for Central Methodist University, Member, Fayette R-III School District Board, Member, Risk Management Insurance Advisory Board, Trulaske College of Business, University of Missouri-Columbia, Lincoln Public School Memorial Committee, United Methodist District Committee on Superintendency and the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of the Columbia Area. He is the coordinator of the Annual Juneteenth Celebration in Fayette.
In the past, Jackman sat on the Board of Directors for the Missouri School Boards Association, the Junior Olympics Sports and Educational Program Board of Directors and the Advent Enterprises Board of Directors. He was also a member of the Fayette Optimist Club, Fayette R-III School District Board and the Wesley Foundation of the United Methodist Church.
