People and Culture | Community Impact

Leading means caring.

We’ve learned along the way what it takes to build safe, productive workplaces. We’re proud of our success – and we’ve made it part of our company mission to share it with the communities we call home. Our Corporate Impact Program helps us extend this work throughout the Midwest, helping people around us be healthier, safer and more confident.

Corporate and employee donations

Year-round, MEM supports numerous fundraising efforts of local charities through sponsorship, matching gifts, charitable gifts and in-kind services. We support organizations within MEM’s charitable giving focus areas:

  • Safety
  • Health and wellness
  • Education and skills development

In 2022, MEM’s corporate monetary donations, combined with more than $95,00 from our employees and their volunteer time, benefited more than 125 organizations throughout Missouri where our employees live and work. On average, more than 70 percent of MEM employees donated 3,200-plus hours of volunteer time annually.

From the time spent by MEM employees at our summer feeding sites, to here in the volunteer room to time spent at our larger food drives, you all have really set a standard for philanthropy and commitment to community service in this community.”
