November 22, 2018 • Missouri Employers Mutual

The fifth safety grant cycle, announced in Nov. 2018, awarded a total of $229,000 to 32 policyholders in Missouri for the implementation of new safety equipment to promote safer workplaces. MEM plans to invest another $1 million over the next three years.

“We believe that when employees are safe, they’re happier and more productive. Our Safety Grant program is designed to help business owners increase both the safety and productivity of their workplaces,” said Jim Owen, President and CEO of MEM.

One recipient of this awards cycle is St. Louis Arc, an organization that works to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities live quality lives as active, contributing members of their community.

“We greatly appreciate this safety grant,” says Mark Keeley, President and CEO of St. Louis Arc. “This safety equipment will enable the purchase of lifts and lift accessories that will make our program sites safer for both the people we support and our employees.”
