Roger Walleck
President and CEO

Roger Walleck is President and CEO at Missouri Employers Mutual (MEM). In this role, he is responsible for the vision, direction, and strategic development of the company, as well as overall management and business implementation. 

Prior to MEM, Walleck spent more than a decade in leadership positions at the Meadowbrook Insurance Group, most recently as Chief Underwriting Officer and Executive Vice President. In this role, he set underwriting appetite, tolerance, and limits for carriers of the group. He also oversaw all underwriting activities and the development of predictive analytic models. Walleck held several positions with Liberty Mutual before joining Meadowbrook. 

At MEM, Walleck previously served as Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer, providing executive leadership, and directing the company’s pricing and risk selection activities. He managed agency and policyholder relationships to maximize company profitability and customer service and ensured strategic alignment between the leadership team and field underwriters. He also led the company’s Customer Care Operations, Premium Consultation, Safety and Risk Services, and Underwriting teams, an extensive group of insurance professionals delivering thousands of assessments, consultations, and training sessions each year. 

Walleck holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Northern Illinois University. He holds several professional designations, including Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter and Associate in Insurance Services. He is an active member of the CPCU Society and the Risk & Insurance Management Society. During his insurance career, Walleck has served on the committees of several national insurance organizations. He has been appointed by Governor Mike Parson and confirmed by the Missouri Senate to serve on the Missouri Workers’ Compensation Determinations Review Board.
