Rene Tettleton Eslinger was named Vice President of Sales in January 2016 for Missouri Employers Mutual. Tettleton Eslinger is responsible for the planning and execution of business development strategies, including prospecting new accounts, growing existing accounts and building agency relationships.
Tettleton Eslinger began her career at MEM in 2013 as Director of Sales. In this role, she provided leadership, vision and strategy to build business development and sales programs to support MEM’s long-term strategic business plan. She is an accomplished and results-driven sales leader with a strong insurance background that includes management positions in both sales and underwriting. She is strategically focused on growing target business opportunities in a balanced and efficient manner.
Prior to MEM, Tettleton Eslinger worked at Fireman’s Fund Insurance in Alpharetta, GA, where she was the Field Sales Director. She proactively identified performance gaps, trends and issues while establishing action plans to keep agencies on track to achieve business objectives. She also worked as the Assistant Vice President and Regional Underwriting Manager at Zurich Insurance. She administered and monitored underwriting rules, guidelines, insurance laws, regulations and rating manual rules.
Tettleton Eslinger earned a bachelor’s in Psychology from Louisiana Tech University. She completed her certificate in General Insurance through the Insurance Institute of America, the Executive Scholars program in Leadership at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and is a Registered Workers’ Compensation Specialist. She is working toward earning her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. She volunteers for organizations such as the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri and Habitat for Humanity. She is also a member of the Board of Directors for the St. Louis-based organization Annie Malone Children and Family Services.
